Kailua Beach

Kailua is one of the finest places to live in Hawaii and its beach is often voted the best in the United States. Only ten miles from Honolulu, this sunny and friendly community possesses a unique magic that enlivens all who live here. The reef protected Kailua Bay offers a water playground for swimmers, kayakers, and boaters. Kailua Bay is also known as one of the best places to windsurf in the world because of the constant and gentle tradewinds. The latest sport is Kite Surfing!!

Kailua also has several historical sites such as the Ulupo Heiau. The windward side of the island generally has better prices for homes and land than the Honolulu side. A wonderful community spirit, local holiday parades, festivals, great shopping, outdoor cafés and a fine selection of restaurants are just a few of the features of this special island town.

The majestic Koolau mountains decorate the view to the south and provide the pass through the “Pali” to Honolulu, less than ten miles away.
